Angelique - A Transitional Age Youth Novel
"Me and my sister went into foster care when I was seven and she was three because my mom was bipolar. Well, that and the fact that she cared more about drugs and men than feeding us."
Angelique had two dreams—to be freed from foster care and to be reunited with her little sister, Bribee. She never imagined that leaving the system would mean having to fend for herself. To make matters worse, Bribee’s adoption made it almost impossible for her to be found. The Transitional Housing Program was the perfect solution. It was better than being homeless, and the things they taught would eventually help with her sister. Angelique is on the right track for a bright future, but dark clouds from her past threaten to destroy it all.
