Supportive Housing
Our Supportive Housing Program partners with members of the community to provide long-term housing for artists impacted by foster care, the juvenile justice system, and/or children's mental health services.
How does it work?
Green Pines Media reaches out to members of their community to secure (or create) affordable rooms for rent and micro apartments. We then "match" artists with the most appropriate housing opportunity for a small fee paid by the property owner, the tenant, grants, and/or donations. This allows us to operate regardless of funding; however, we are frequently filled to capacity.
Potential tenants must have a source of income and/or be enrolled in school. They also attend weekly meetings with property owners and program staff to facilitate community-building and healthy relationships.
